A 45-year-old patient with light sensitivity and a very active Bell’s phenomenon undergoes phacoemulsification and IOL insertion.

Learning Objective

After completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to demonstrate techniques that facilitate cataract-implant surgery in patients who are sensitive to the microscope light and manifest a significant Bell’s phenomenon.
